Job Description:
A law firm located in Macomb County is seeking a permanent Lateral Litigation Attorney with expertise in Business and Real Estate, Estate Planning & Probate, Family Law, Government Law, or Litigation & Dispute Resolution. The candidate must have a passion for litigation and be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan. The ideal applicant will possess strong writing and oral communication skills, be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have excellent client service abilities. Familiarity with Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne County courts is essential.
Responsibilities include conducting and managing written and document discovery, researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and court filings, defending depositions, preparing witnesses for testimony, attending status conferences, arguing motions in state and federal court, participating in settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
