Our goals are to help each athlete become fundamentally sound in all areas of the game while equipping them with the proper knowledge and understanding of how to play. Position Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, responsible Basketball Coach to join our club team staff. This part-time role requires availability on weekday evenings and some weekends. You will be working with athletes from ages 9 to 14, helping them sharpen their game and build habits that translate both on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Fundamentals: Instruct players on core basketball skills, techniques, strategies, and game rules in a way that’s age-appropriate and engaging.
  • Foster Teamwork: Promote communication, collaboration, and a positive team environment among players.
  • Provide Feedback: Deliver clear, constructive feedback and encouragement to help athletes grow in both skill and confidence.
  • Manage Team Dynamics: Ensure inclusivity, address conflicts thoughtfully, and give each player meaningful opportunities to participate and improve.
  • Represent LSBA: Uphold and model the values of the academy by bringing energy, professionalism, and positivity to every session.
Qualifications:
  • Prior coaching experience (youth, high school, AAU, or collegiate level preferred)
  • Knowledge of basketball fundamentals
  • Positive, patient, and energetic coaching style
  • Ability to communicate effectively with athletes and parents
  • Reliable transportation and weekend availability
